Benefits Specialist

Reports To: Manager of Compensation & Benefits
                                                                                                   
Summary:  

Position Summary:
The Benefits Specialist may be responsible for the administration of health, welfare, leave of absence and related benefit programs for full-time
and part-time associates.  The responsibilities may include all or some of the essential functions listed.

Essential Functions:
1.    Processing and verification of enrollments and change in family status activity for full-time, part-time and retiree participants.

2.    Weekly review and reporting of termination reports and COBRA information to appropriate vendors.

3.    Administration of short-term disability coverage and other leave of absence policies, including reviews of documentation,
       coordination with the vendor and communication with the employee. 

4.    Administration of life and LTD insurance for eligible employees.

5.    Administration of employee benefits for employees, including supplemental healthcare, life and disability.

6.    Communication and dissemination of employee benefits programs and information, handling employee issues and coordinating
       between employees and vendors when intervention is required and authorized.

7.    Ensuring all health related information is kept private in accordance with the health privacy regulations published 
       in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

8.    Weekly IS feeds to various insurance carriers and providers.

9.    Maintenance and distribution of communication materials on-line and hard copy during the year and at open enrollment, 
       for employees and HR Coordinators.

10.  Communicate effectively with Plan Administrators and vendors.

11.  Provide complete and timely data necessary for monitoring compliance with IRS regulations and testing of annual
       non-discrimination requirements and 5500 filings.

12.  Assist in review of communication pieces and forms, to ensure that they are consistent with plan documents parameters.

Specific Skills:   

·     Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
·     Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to group healthcare, including COBRA, Section 125, FMLA and HIPAA.
·     Experience with Lawson HRIS or other tier 1 ERP benefit systems.
·     Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of personnel and vendors.
·     High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
·     Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
·     Demonstration of sensitivity and understanding in dealing with employee issues.
·     Team player.

Claims Specialist (Full Time) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Risk Management Manager Summary: Oversee the Worker’s Compensation and Auto Claims Company wide. Oversee the accuracy and quality of accident investigation. Work closely with the Insurance Company’s Adjusters, Human Resource Coordinators, Supervisors and Employees in the handling of the claims. Work with the Human Resources Coordinators and supervisor on all aspects of the claim. Educate everyone on the Worker’s Compensation and Auto Claims processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Review Work Comp on a regular basis working with adjusters on handling of the files. 2. Work with HR coordinators and supervisors on return to work. 3. Respond to adjusters with information as requested in a timely fashion. 4. Keep OSHA logs current for each company location. 5. Mail OSHA logs to each of the company’s locations in January for posting with directions. 6. Run monthly reports for the Reconciliation and Open Claims 7. File and maintain Certificates of Insurance, Inbound and Outbound. 8. Review Auto Claims as they come in for Liability. If there is liability, fax to our Insurance Company the same day we receive them for handling. 9. Review Auto liability claims on a regular basis working with the adjusters on handling of the files. 10. Special projects as assigned. Manager of Compensation and Benefits Employment Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: Vice President of Human Resource Services Summary: This position is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the Company Benefit programs to include heath, dental, disability, life insurance and retirement plans. Responsible for the compensation program for the Company to include job titles, salary ranges, bonus ranges, job descriptions, performance evaluation forms, and the salary administration program. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for the administration of the company’s health and welfare plan(s), retirement plan(s), and other ancillary benefit plan(s) as developed throughout the organization. 2. Responsible for managing the work of the respective benefits professionals within this group ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all records and files. 3. Responsible for the day-to-day relationships with the benefits consultants and vendors. 4. Responsible to ensuring all eligible associates have been given the appropriate and required information regarding the company’s benefit programs. 5. Responsible for eligible associates being provided the appropriate and required information regarding the company’s benefit programs. 6. Responsible for ensuring that eligible associates have the opportunity to enroll in Company benefit programs. 7. Responsible for the accounting of all benefit and retirement plan costs including a monthly cost accrual analysis in association with the Accounting department. 8. Responsible for designing and developing new benefit plans and programs, as appropriate. 9. Responsible for making recommendations to senior management regarding benefit renewals and plan designs. 10. Responsible for the administration of the company’s compensation programs to include salary ranges, bonus ranges, job titles, job descriptions, performance evaluation forms, and the salary administration policy. Risk Manager (Full Time) FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: VP of Human Resource Services Summary: Responsible for the planning, directing and implantation of the business insurance programs. . Facilitate the renewal process. Handle Liability Lawsuits working with the Insurance Company adjusters, attorneys and our legal department. Maintain Accruals and Reconciliations for the Property and Casualty program. Purchase and maintain work comp coverage for the Monopolistic States. Oversee the Worker’s Compensation and Auto Claims Company wide. Oversee the accuracy and quality of accident investigation. Work closely with the Insurance Company’s Adjusters, Human Resource Coordinators, Supervisors and Employees in the handling of the claims. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Pay monthly Risk Management related bills. 2. Implement and review Safety Programs 3. Implement and review Fleet Safety Program 4. Auto at fault charge to employees 5. Review Insurance sections of contracts 6. Accrual and Reconciliation for all lines of coverage 7. Renewal process – complete applications. 8. Review Work Comp on a regular basis working with adjusters on handling of the files. 9. Work with HR coordinators and supervisors on return to work. 10. Respond to adjusters with information as requested in a timely fashion. 11. Keep OSHA logs current for each ATTENDITUS DIGITAL NETWORKS location. 12. Mail OSHA logs to each ATTENDITUS DIGITAL NETWORKS locations in January for posting with directions. 13. File and maintain Certificates of Insurance, Inbound and Outbound. 14. Review Auto Claims as they come in for Liability. If there is liability, fax to our Insurance Company the same day we receive them for handling. 15. Review Auto liability claims on a regular basis working with the adjusters on handling of the files. 16. Review Lawsuits working with adjusters and attorneys on reserves, settlements, answering interrogatory and discovery, attending mediations and trial. 17. Management reports on loss history, cost of risk and other significant items. 18.
